Hello 2010, Happy New Year Everyone!!

It's 2010!! It's actually 2010! A whole new decade!! O:
Which means goodbye to the noughties...! You were great! But I'm determined that 2010 is gonna be bigger (figuratively speaking), better and so much more fun than 2009!! (And I consider '09 as the best of all the noughties!)
***
So, leading on to more recent/non-reminiscent news!
IT'S SNOWING AGAIN!!!
...mmyeah. weirdly though I'm not too fussed. We already had about 6inches last week (which in the mean time has melted) So that was kinda when everyone went "ZOMGZZZ SNOOOOOW LETZ PLAY IN IT ANNZ STUFF!!"
So, this time round everyone's just sort of going about their normal lives as best they can.
...just, snowier.
Only now all the road signs are covered in snow so you can't read them; which is not a good thing, because [long story short] there was a gas leak near, though not related in any way to, our house. And of course, there is snow a big hole in the road right under my bedroom window. [*note: our house is a bungalow, next to the road, with no pavement or anything between us and the road.] Thus, un-readable road signs = possibility of car driving into hole where exposed gas pipes lie = possibility of kaboom.
Next to my bedroom... So, mum ordered me out of bed, and now, me, my entire bed minus actual bed frame, and my beloved DS are sleeping in the lounge with the cat tonight.
So I'm spending the night on my DS, playing a cornucopia of games, including Hotel Dusk, Super Mario Bros., Pkmn platinum, and also I plan on listening to Queen later, and, of course, I'm using it now to type this.
I <3 DSi!
'Tis all for now~
I may/may not post again a little later tonight with most scandalous tales of murder, nuns, and ghosts...!! But, that all depends on wether I survive being sneezed on by a cat, or wether I haven't eaten my arm off through pure rage as I have NO DAMN PP HEALY...THINGS in pkmn. (I'd tell them now, but for some reason, the DSi web browser has a word limit y'see).
BYYYYYEEEEEEEEEE!!! <3

Seasons Greetings!

A very Belated Merry Christmas to everyone, and Happy Holidays!

It's been... so long since my last post! I'm so sorry!! It's been the same on devART too, I haven't even uploaded a Merry Christmas picture.. D: (though tbh, that's because my computer has died a death, and I lost my usb >>). Well, I wish I could say it's because I've been busy with school work, or I've been out all the time in the snow... or even because I'm lazy. But no, in all honesty I have no idea why it's taken me this long to write this..! I swear I started trying to do so after I broke up for the holidays, but alas...

ANYWAY!!!

IT'S CHRISTMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!
(5 days ago... x'D)

Well, I broke up for the holidays on 17th, but that whole week was... madness! ("Madness?! This... Is... SPARTAAAAAAAAA" *ahem* orz.)
Monday was pretty normal actually...>> BUT HEY. THE REST WAS LOON. It's...! Tuesday (15th Dec) was the 6th form Xmas Lunch 8D.
Mon amis et moi went so loopy!!! Well, in fact, our friends group is about 5-6 of us, but really there's three of us (including yours truly) that are, in fact, wonderfully mad. :3 Anyway, I bought M a sticky reindeer thing for xmas, and the 3 of us spent the entire (extended!) lunch time throwing it on the ceiling, and racing to catch it when it fell down! x'D MOOHAHAHAHAA
And after much more of that hilarity on Wednesday, it got stuck to the ceiling. woops. It is important to note that our common room ceiling has a slopey wooden bit on the sides (where we'd been throwing sed reindeer) and a painty corrugated area on the top. It got stuck to the painty bit... 8D moohahaha
By Thursday, M et moi were determined to get it down! We snuck up into the art department, 'borrowed' some metre rulers, taped them together, and stood on a chair in the common room attempting to poke it down. However, it is also important to note that this was during a '6th form xmas breakfast' thing in the common room. With teachers. Though they didn't see us at all...>>
And then, was the most dreaded hour long awards assembly that bores you so much your eyes shrivel up inside your skull. However..!! At the end of the assembly, as with every end-of-term assembly, we had the "best-bits-of-this-term" slideshow. And, as it was xmas, there was xmas pop music playing! 8D
And then, came one of the randomest things EVER. The slideshow stopped. The music, continued. Everyone started singing along. We looked behind us to see some of our chums bouncing up in the back and dancing around whilst singing. Well, that was it! We 3 loons forced the rest of our friends up on their feet and started dancing. Soon most of the school was up, and the teachers didn't even care. I swear, our school is mad.
But anyway, we left school at 12.05 with the reindeer still stuck to the ceiling.
*
Other than that, it's been late nights and sleeping in till noon for me! :3 It snowed for ages last week and we had so much snow!! About 6 inches or so, which is a lot for our area!
Christmas Day, we had me, mum, mum's boyfriend, my uncle, his wife, their three kids (my cousins) and my grandma. It was certainly interesting!!
*
Recently, I've been having really weird sleep patterns..! Last night I didn't get to sleep until 9am this morning, and didn't wake up till 1pm... xD haha whoops!
Mostly it's because I've been staying up till 2ish watching late night films with mum! The other night we watched 'American Flyers'. It made me cry so much..! It's really really good though! It's become one of my favourite films! O: Please watch it if you have the chance!
***
Well, tis all for now~! I'll try to post more often...! O:
GLAD TIDINGS TO YOU ALL!!!

Back on Track

It's crunchy leaf time of year!
I really like this time of year~! Although I love summer, there's something about the late November-December time of year. I'm not sure if it's the warm cozy nights cuddled next to the spare radiator in my room whilst reading manga, or the crunchy leaves, or wrapping up in scarves, or the fact I've brought my double duvet down from the cupboard and put it on my (single) bed along with my single duvet, or the fact the xmas lights are being turned on, or if it's the run up to Christmas... but I really love this time of year!! <3
I know it's a bit early to be talking about xmas right now, but I'm particularly excited about it this year! The family is coming to our house this year~! Usually we either all go to grandma's, or (as with the past few years) it's been just me, mum and grandma at our house. But this year! Everyone's coming! Uncle David, Aunty Jill, my 3 cousins, grandma, possibly coconut (mum's 'partner'). I'm so excited! I know it's not that many people compared to other people's family xmas reunions, but we have a pretty small bungalow type house so it's gonna be busy~!!
*
As for school, Xmas officially starts this Saturday (28th Nov), with our xmas fair! I'm going to be helping my friend (let's call her K), with our house stall!
(In our school, there are 4 houses, St. Hilary's = blue, St. Joans = red, St. Emilie's = yellow, and St. Francis = green. Usually we're all friends, but when it comes to house competitions everyone gets super competitive! St. Hils and St Joans are bitter rivals!).
I'm a proud member of St. Hils, the blue house; I'm really excited! I've never run a stall at the fair before, and I'm exciting about doing my bit for the house~!! At xmas fair, one of the main attractions are the house stalls, each house has a stall, and we can only sell items of our house colour; eg, hils can only sell blue things. Tbh I think Joans should get a handicap... I mean, how easy is it to find red things that are xmassey?! But, well, I'm biased as they're our rivals!!
I say xmas starts on 28th Nov... but for one form it's started early!! My friend L's (yes that is her name!!) form (year 9) have already decorated their form room! Not just tinsel and paper chains, but full on twinkly lights, xmas tree, fake snow, singing rudolph...!! It looks like santa's grotto! x'D
I think K and I decided we were going to decorate the 6th form common room on Monday morning though~! There's a mini xmas tree in the walk-in-storage-room/cupboard, and there's about 2 bix boxes full of decorations in the cupboards in the kitchen!!
**
Anyway, In other news; I popped into town yesterday (as in, local small town, not big city town), and bought some really great stuff! In Waterstones they had Maximum Ride the manga vol2, and Detroit Metal City vol 1!! <3>w<
Not only that!! But when we went into Bits 'n' Pieces (cool little indie games shop in our town), we found, in a glass cabinet of oldies games.... Advance Wars 1 & 2!!! Those games are super super rare these days! Almost Impossible to find! And I bought them!! =w= Now I have the whole set~! <3>
I am SO using my awds mug at school tomorrow!!
**
Speaking of indie shops, I found a really good indie music store in town too. Well, I knew about it already (the one with the creepy Elvis statue is something you can't not know if you live in our town!), but I'd never really been in before. Anyway, they sell lots of CDs and DVDs, both old and new, at srsly low prices! From now on, I'm going to buy my music from there over iTunes! deffinately! Really friendly in there too~!!
***
Well, that's about it for now! But quickly, before I go, I'd like to say a big shout out to all of my devART watchers! I love all of you~!!

Modern art, steals your heart <3

stealing a moment to blog whilst in a free :B
Hello all.
I'm currently at school, in a free, so don't tell head of 6th! ;D shhh~!
Anyway, I just had to blog about this, otherwise I might explode!!
Yesterday, we switched topics in 'Global Perspectives' to something that is actually interesting! Art. Well, Art and the Media but hey~!
Our first 'assignment' was to work in groups of 2s or 3s and make a presentation about one of the artists on the list we were given. Including pretty much the most influencial modern artists ever. Although, to my dismay, Antony Gormley was not on the list!!! D<<
Anywho. My group and I ended up doing Damien Hirst ( <3>
Only problem is, I'm like... the only person in the class that likes modern art. Not just that I'm the only one that likes it, I'm the only one that gets it!!
It's actually... ridiuclous. I mean srsly. It's annoying, and omg I don't care who reads it, but who'da thunk that even the most 'clever' people in my class, the ones with As and A*s popping out of their ears, can be so shallow, narrowminded, selfish and stuck up.
I mean, ok, not everyone likes modern art. Fine. Not everyone can understand it, because they aren't creative, or because they aren't visual (despite what those crappy tests we do at school say!) I mean, I showed them Banksy, and they said;
"well, I guess I can almost come round to that... I suppose"
...In a really stuck up 'oh that can't possibly be art as it's not realisitic, why that man must be an idiot' manner. (whereas I was sat thinking "kol kol kol kol KOL KOL KOL KOL KOL" ...lol way too much APH in my life xD )
*
But it's one thing to not understand. It's a whole other thing to slag off artists. In fact, it's disrespectful, rude and to be quite frank, disgraceful.
Not only did they insist on slagging off such geniuses as Banksy, Hirst and Gormley, but they continued with the stuck up 'oh that can't possibly be art' attitude that makes my head spin. I'm sorry, but once you learn to indulge in a world that isn't about grades, statistics, numbers and words on a page, and actually begin to look at the world from the point of view of an artist.....
ARGH. I'm getting pretty worked up about this.
Not only did they insult my favourite artists on countless occassions, but they patronised and looked down their noses at modern art as a whole.
Modern Art. The clue is in the title.
It's ART.
It can't be boxed or labeled.
You can't say "Oh I hate modern art" when you haven't even been to an art gallery.
And besides from that, they then proceeded to insult me.
You see, one of my friends insisted on expressing just how much she 'detests' modern art by reminding me how much she detests manga art; MY art.
"y'know what 'Jam'? I hate modern art sooo much that I actually prefer manga art to it"
the both of them then proceed to laugh.
For God's sake, I don't turn round to her and say "omg I HATE your book it SUCKS so much even though I've only read a little bit".
<
They were just so degrading and patronising and I want to run away to the Tate and live there for a few days living off nothing but green tea and muffins.
*
To further explain my dismay I shall show the difference in opinion of someone ready to actually open their mind to the world, and not close it off; to someone so involved in this mundane, structured world in which we live that they just refuse point blank to even try to open their minds.
My opinion on Damien Hirst:

"His work is highly influential and pushes the boundaries further and further, helping modern art to grow and flourish into the exciting, unique and thought provoking world we now know it as. Hirst’s work tells us that it’s ok to be different, in fact it’s great to be different! Art is beauty, and Hirst, along with many other modern artists re-affirms the truth that beauty is not perfection, beauty is what you say it is. Beauty can be both reality and the surreal; and Hirst’s work fuses the two together. For example, in “The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living” Hirst takes reality and makes it surreal. His work is also awe inspiring and inspirational. Everything about his work sums up modern art, it’s fresh new, exciting, bold and daring. Let’s not forget, that one of the pioneers and masters of modern art, Pablo Picasso was pushing the boundaries himself. Most of all, his art shows imagination. In the words of Albert Einstein; “Imagination is more important than knowledge”. Hirst’s work sparks up imagination, you don’t have to always know exactly what an artist is trying to achieve or accomplish through their art, but what is most important is that it is imaginative. He challenges your own imagination and your own perceptions of beauty, helping to bring you into a new world, perhaps something you’re not completely aware of. His work is awe inspiring and enlightening. Having seen the shark, I know that his art takes you away from the boring, mundane world in which we live in, and launches you into another dimension which is both peculiar and exciting. Through imagination art can be anything you want it to be. And after all, art is beauty, beauty is imaginative and beauty is anything you want it to be, not what you are told it should be.
Art does not have to be paint on canvas.
Art opens your mind and transports you into a world more exciting, more interesting, more engaging more fun and more imaginative than this world ever could be. As artists we strive to do this, and if only a small fragment of people are transported into our world then; mission accomplished!"

...And that was the condensed version. Srsly.

Their opinion on Damien Hirst:

"It is pointless and simply disgusting, there is no imagery nor meaning in anything as far as we can see."

Their attempt to sound civilised with that 'one does not approve' attitude just made me laugh. I can't even take that seriously.

Don't get me wrong, not everyone likes Hirst, but if you have a negative opinion on something, at least try not to sound like a philistine who hasn't even tried to open their mind.
***

So, now you have seen my headache... terribly sorry I've just gone on one massive rant-a-thon, but it just had to be said. End of. If you agree/have had similar problems, please comment, either here, devART, twitter... etc.

So long for now everyone!! c:

edit: I just went on Gormley's website.

So long October, Hello November!!

White Rabbits!
And so, it's November! Where did October go? And more importantly, where did summer go!!? And... even more worryingly, why am I still being plauged by midges at night when it's autumn-going-on-winter here in Blighty!?
Well, aside from the strange bug related occurences (srsly our front door is covered in the buggers every night... it's really weird), October has been a really good month! I mean, really really good! And considering only one of the 4 and a bit weeks was a holiday, I'm kinda surprised! I used to hate October! I mean, apart from Halloween that is!!
But, looking back at my calendar as I change it over to November, it really was a fun month!! Starting with MUNCH and ending with Halloween, and of course Expo last week, it's been a month of firsts and a month of toasties.
[JAM's blog post has been momentarily interrupted as a MIDGE is buzzing around her...]
But srsly, why are the midges still here?
Anyway.
Happy Halloween to everyone for yesterday~! ;D hope everyone had fun and ate lots of candy~! Did anyone dress up?? I dressed up as an evil nurse/doctor thing and mon ami le S was a werewolf!! :D
Le SWOOOSH!! S and I had an epic glo stick fight!! xD
[left: me right: if you squint you can see S... I think]
Also, I'd like to say a massive big Happy Birthday to Cazakstann, my beloved attachment figure!!
Well, tis all for now mon amis~! I am off to watch 'Doc Martin' :B byee~!

JAM's first ever Expo!

Souuu desu ka?!
One treachourous bus journey later, after staying up till the early hours of the morning watching 'Brother's Grimm' and eating copious amounts of pizza, and getting up at 5am having slept about 3 hours or so, driving down to London, and queueing for about an hour, Tam, D-G and I, along with Tam's dad arrived at the Expo.
That's right folks! On 25th October 2009, I , JAM, went to my first ever Expo!! If I had to sum it up in one sentence it'd be this;
"Omigawd I have been missing out!!"
The whole experience is amazing!! I've always thought that when you're an manga/anime fan it's like you're in a whole other world that 'normies' just don't understand, and expo is something that just sums up everything about anime, manga, video games & sci fi; it's fun, colourful, friendly and there are lots of free hugs!!! At first it's pretty odd getting hugged by complete strangers, but after about an hour or so of running up and hugging people with free hugs signs, and asking complete strangers if you can take a photo of them, you really get used to it!
Everyone at expo is amazingly friendly! It's like, you go there and everyone treats you as a friend! Instead of getting stared at by chavvy kids in a bus station for wearing a domo hoody, I get hugged and complimented!!  Even waiting in the queue is fun!! just watching everyone in the queue walk by in all their diff. cosplays is great!
This was only a small portion of the epicly long queue.
At one point we had Ronald MacDonald behind us, and Pacman walking  past us xD it was ace!
Not to mention all the people walking past with free hugs signs! If you think one guy in the street with a free hugs sign is odd, then wait til you get to expo! there's so many it's just normal! you don't even think about it as odd at all, you're just running at them with your arms open x'D. And this happens even if you don't have a sign! We were waiting in the queue and a guy cosplaying as Haruhi came up and said "omg! DOMO!!!!" and gave me a massive hug!
A very friendly giant Kon who we glomped~! (btw that curly brown haired person in a humoungous brown hoody is me ;D)
Actually, at one point we were waiting in the queue and D-G said "I've only seen guys holding free hugs signs... I bet it's mostly guys that do it." and Tam & I were all "nawwwh! there're loads of female free hug sign carriers!" And so, a bet was proposed! D-G said that the first person to see a girl carrying a free hug sign would get £2. Moments later a girl walked by with a, believe it or not, free hugs sign! Tam and I started jumping up and down liek "THERE! RIGHT THERE!!!". In the end, both of us got £2 each. =w= There were also loads of people with signs saying something along the lines of;
"You just lost THE GAME"
You'd just be happily browsing and eating pocky, and they'd walk on by, and all of a sudden this huge mass of people would all say "auuurrgghh" in unision!
Another most wonderful thing about Expo is the cosplay. Cosplayers have got to be amoung the nicest people in the world!! They're all happy and friendly and will let everyone and anyone take their picture! All of us (that is, Tam D-G and I) agreed that it's better to come to an Expo in cosplay, and thus, I swore to myself that I will deffinately cosplay next time!!
The stores at expo are amazing too! There was a really vast range of stuff on sale, figurines, posters, self-published comics, big name manga, and loads of anime & manga merchandise!! From fans and cosplay accessories, to keychains, replica swords, and those ever-so-slightly-pervy mouse mats!
And let's not forget, of course, the yaoi stall. With an American guy behind the stall shouting out;
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET YOUR HOT FLAMING YAOI OVER HEERE!!! YAAAAAAOI!!!!"
At the top of his lungs every now and then. It was rather deafening. But pretty awesome!!
I was very very tempred to buy some Hetalia yaoi... but unfortunately, no RussiaxChina! (;^;) I thought it would've been a pretty popular pairing, but ... maybe I was too late?! Yeahhh yaoi was a biiig topic of conversation on Saturday!! Infact, all 4 of us (T's dad included) had one big discussion about yaoi and yuri on the way home!! x'D Specifically, about what to say to people at school if they ask what yaoi is. We've decided that yaoi is a chocolate flavoured drink... xD and GrimmIchi (Tam's fave pairing) is a type of evil cheese. UFUFUFUFU. I'm extremely tempted to yell out in to lunch hall "YAAAAAAAAAAOIIII" xD haha. Maybe I will, maybe I won't?
In the end, we all came home very hyper, bouncing off the walls clutching our 'tokyo toys' bags, amoung others, containing our day's finds!! In the end, I bought;
- around £17 worth of sweatdrop manga <3
- Twelth Night (as drawn by Nana Li)
- a Death Note
- Negima Figumate : Asakura
- Nendoroid Puchi : Churuya san (from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu)
- apple yoghurt pocky
- strawberry pocky
- a haruhi headband
- a 'vote Petrelli' badge
- an L necklace
- a Mikuru keychain
- a totoro fan
- an art postcard & boomark from Soya Milku
I very almost bought a costume too, but due to unfortunate circumstances that included me loosing my wallet; that didn't happen... >.<
*
The artists' alley at Expo was awesome too!! they had these big long tables with lots of paper and markers to draw with! <3>
My rush-job entry xD
And actually, as i was happily drawing away, some zombies chased after some kids!! O_O
I looked up to see this guy!! I was liek "HOLYF******WHATTHEHELL!?!?!?". Interestingly, we saw him walking home afterward xD haha I bet he got some odd looks in the street!
Whihc swiftly leads me on to a small gallery of some of the best cosplays of the day, to give y'all a break from the mass of text! x'D
Halibel from Bleach
Grimmjow x2
Near from Death Note *squeee*
So I herd u liek mudkipz?!
Tam got attacked by an alien!!
Hetalia cosplayers!!! <3>
Blair from Soul Eater
Magical Trevor = WIN!
Agent Smith & Neo - The Matrix
These guys were actually amazing. They stayed in Character all day!! They had this awesome presence that made everyone stop and watch them when they walked by!!
EXCALIBUR!!! LEGEND!!
***
All in all, I loved Expo so much <3>D
Well, this is all from me tonight, I'm signing off~! And remember folks...
Yaoi = a chocolate flavour drink.

6th Form Maturity [+munch]

"Does the honorable delegate not agree?."
[M&S Toasting to Toasties.]
From starting our own political party, to making people snort sherbert and creating a psychology mascot in the form of the Romanian Orphan Child; we'll always remeber our headmistress' wise words;
"You are responsible role models"
Only, we're not.
The amount of sugar rushes I've had since coming back to school are just un-countable. Suffice to say, although I expected 6th form to be a lot different, I didn't expect it to be this different. I actually really enjoy school these days. Not only is it a daily gathering place of 5 or so loons [ie, my friends and I], but I really love the lessons too. I mean, PHSE sucks as much as it always has, and Global Perspectives is just boredom served up on a plate, but other than that I really love my subjects.
Last post, I mentioned how my psychology teacher has realised how crazy I am! And our craziness is just escalating and escalting. We're currently learning about attachment, and C*zakstann et moi are "ATTACHMENT BUDDIES!" (with me being the attachment child, and she the attachment figure :P ).
And we also have created a psychology mascot! R.O.C. ; Romanian Orphan Child, is our new psychology mascot! <3>
I was incharge of the visuals, while C*z manned the research :B
As you can clearly see, our lil mascot Romanian Orphan Child is drawn at the bottom, holding a little Romanian flag~!!
And in our psychology room is a mobile whiteboard (as in, it's not fixed to the wall, but you can roll it around on wheels). One day I wrote "Psychology rocks!!!" (cause I'm just that cool) on it, and ever since then it's been added to on a daily basis. And, ofc, R.O.C. was added as well (just in SUPER chibi-ized form).
But today............. trauma has hit.
Mrs R came up to us in the lunch queue and the convo went something liek this;
***
Mrs R: I have some really bad news....
me &C: !?!?!?
Mrs R: The year 13s.... they rubbed everything off the whiteboard...!!!
m&C: NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Mrs R: *nods* I almost went into panic when I saw it!!
m: Don't worry Mrs R!!! We'll just do it all again! And we'll make it even better!!
Mrs R: Will you draw the Romanian Orphan Child again?!
m: Of course!! and even better!!
Mrs R: good good...! I love the Romanian Orphan Child!!
***
So, Monday's mission is to re-establish the epic-ness of the psych white-board!!
***
As previously mentioned, my friends and I are crazy loons.
In our first week in 6th form, we started our own political party; N.I.C.I! This came about when S & I were bored and decided to open the dictionary at random and point to the a word at random. The words came out in this order;
- Nosewheel
- Invasion
- Concubine
- Imperialism
And so, N.I.C.I! was born; wiht out mascot being the glorious Nosepass.
ahhh there's been so much randomness that I can't even begin to explain it all!! I think today's highlight though, was watching M being ever so cool, and ever so clever, snorting sherbert. She said;
"Everything smells like lemons!!! It's like being a walking airfreshener!!"
Please, kids, don't do this at home.
So, please sit back and enjoy a momentary lapse in text before I start talking about MUNCH.
[btw; these were all taken from my DSi, so, sorry if they're a bit bad quality at times]
mini shuriken~
The 'noisy' common rooms white board. I like to take over white boards :B Oh yah, plus a surprise appearance from Sammy's hand!! O:
chikin maaaaan
Tim
Our beloved toastie machinnne~!!
My history folder. We're learning about Russian history with Miss Mawds, and as any Hetalia fans will know, this is Ivan/Russia->  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axis_Powers_Hetalia
in my homework diary.
It is clearly stated that there should be "No grafitti" in homework diaries. Oh well.
PHSE work.

So last weekend was MUNCH. Model United Nations at Cheadle Hulme.
Friday night, I was so nervous I swear I wished so much I hadn't signed up. By half way through Saturday, I was loving it. I can't wait to do another conference!!
At first, it's completely nerve racking (<<-sp!?). You watch everyone and after you finally come up with the courage to make a point of inofrmation, you shyly raise your placard. And then, the chair scans to room, and looks at you with a friendly smile on his face and says;
"Belgium! You have been recognised"
And you think........."shit."
You stand up, a bag of jelly wrapped nerves, and, shaking, you stutter out a pretty lame question, whilst desperately trying get your flapping mouth to form fancy UN terminology as you say;
"w-would the honarable delegate n-not agree..."
But then, after you've taken that first step; after your first LAME personal policy that you completely made up on the spot, and ended with "we would like to be here" in stuttered broken english whilst trying to remain calm, and after you make your first point of info, everything is just so much easier. You get completely taken in by it all, and begin to really enjoy yourself. It's also an amazing way to meet like minded, enthusiastic, out going people.
One of the highlights of the weekend was when 'the honarable delegate from the Vatican City' got a 'bomb' found under her chair, which was so-called placed there my Croatia, who was voted our most annoying delegate xD.
***
And now, in breaking news.....
THIS
IS
SWINE FLU
!!!
The swine flu epidemic has spread to our school, with about 15 cases of swine flu in the school; including our 3 head girls. Also, the other day, 55 girls were absent on the same day. To most people, this won't seem like much, but in a school with just over 600 students, were 55 is almost the size of an entire year, for 55 girls to be off on the same day, is a bit of a big deal.
Hand sanitisers have been placed all over school, making everything taste anti-bacterial.
More over, everyone is paranoid. =A=.
I hope all this will go away soon... and I hope everyone gets well soon! <3
***
So long for now all~!
U R PWND FOR GENEVA.
N.I.C.I!
