SOUP! =D

Lately the weather over here has been heating up!! [FINALLY!!!]

So yeah, yesterday was soupy! Meaning, it was really close and muggy, and there was no wind, so whether you were in the shade or not, it's still the same temperature! Usually this sort of weather is annoying, but after the horrible weather of torrential rain, bitter cold winds and over all chilly-ness (basically, and average Spring to Britain, an average Winter to the rest of the world) we've been having recently, yesterday's soup was much appreciated!

So what else is new? Not much as usual with the revision and such, but as today's Saturday, I took up my usual 9-11am shift at our local Oxfam shop. (Part of the DoE = voluntary work; but it's really fun & great work experience so I'll probs stay on~) We were a little short staffed today, which meant I was going solo on the shop floor most of the time. It was weird cause, there were times when there was NO ONE in the shop, times when there were loads of people, but who didnt buy any thing (times when those people suddenly mass dissappeared at the same time) and then this one time when I actually had a queue!! Crazyness! Crazyness I say!!

Today's been one of those days where the little things make a really nice perk to the day! It's as if once the sun's out all these little 'nicey-nesses' pop up! Like, I bought this month's issue of NEO mag and it not only has a mini article on K-ON, but one about Ramune AND a whole double page spread about An Cafe!! Also, when I got home the postie came with a package for me! And what was in that package? Well! A free football curtosy of a promotional thingymabob where I collected 3 tokens from bag of this (really yummy) brioche stuff with chocolate goo inside!

However... although every things really nice and sunny and these nice little surprises keep popping up, I do keep getting small waves of loneliness when I'm in town running arrands and stuff... I can't have fun till the exams are over DX! I'm not saying I'm depressed or anything... but the other day I was running some arrands for mum and there were kids everywhere, hanging out with their friends, cause it's half term... It made me feel lonely... yeahhh spring half term is no fun when you're in year 11...

But!!! I can at least laugh at them starting Monday cause there'll still be in school all week XD Even though I have exams... :(

I also decided yesterday that if It's gonna decide to rain at anyone time this summer (which to me starts when June starts - even though technically it isn't summer till the 21st), then I pray it rains;

a) whilst I'm doing exams

and b) whilst I'm off in the Baltic

That way, I don't miss out on any sun! Though having said that, this winter was pretty horrideous (and yes I got that term from 'Wild Child'), meaning that this summer should be glorious! (touch wood!)

BUT ANYWAY!!! I shall leave ye all to enjoy the sunnyshine~ as I'm moving my revision stuffs outside to 'revise' (aka eat ice cream and read neo and then contemplate revising) outside in the glorious sunnyshine! x

ps - I know I reeeaaaally should of mentioned this a good few months or so... But yayy! I have a follower!! whee~ thank you oh kind and gracious follower!! *big hug*

Love Thy Neighbour As Thyself

[and this time, the title is actually relevant!!]

I mentioned last post that my guitar strings had snapped, but I'm not sure if I mentioned about the 2nd string snapped too and the bridge lifted up? Anyhoo; I took it round to my neighbour's today and he fixed it for me!! I swear, if you're going to learn to play guitar, then make sure you have a neighbour who knows guitars inside out! Literally - he builds them!

Took him almost no time at all to fix it! Tuned it and put new strings in too! So I'm extremely grateful to my amazing neighbour right now! And since then, I've been practising more and I can already feel my fingers start to toughen up! whee~ I've been teaching myself to play the guitar part in Cagayake!Girls (the intro from K-ON!)

I didn't think it would be, but It's actually pretty easy! Basically, it's just power chords! WAHEY~

In other nudes; I realised today that my 3 favourite OCs [Original Characters] are;

An Alien

A Time Traveller

and A Ghost

XD I wonder what that says about me? But then again, it probably sums me up!! XD hahaha Arg~ I really can't wait til these stupid exams end! Honestly!! Well Anyway, that about wraps things up for now~ bye bye!! xx

"My G string broke" and other hilarious excuses.

[again, the title doesn't have much to do with the contents]

Todays events have led me to remeber when we had a Norwegian student in our class... She played the violin and there was one time she really really didn't want to go to Orchestra practice. So, without realising what she was saying, she told our male music teacher; "um... I'm really sorry but, well, my G-string snapped you see, and..."

                *   *   *   *   *   *   *

Yes... Well anyway, as I think I mentioned last time, I've started teaching myself guitar! only... well today I was tuning it and... PYANNNG!!! FWASAHHH!

Basically the highest (and thinnest, as in sharpest) string snapped, and well attacked my hand in the process... meaning I now have a nice lovely cut right across my knuckles! I talked to my dad about though and he said it happens to everyone; when he was my age, same thing happened, but it hit him on the face!! (looks like I was pretty lucky!).

So... yeah ... 'luckily' I had a spare but... mm.... that snapped too!!

( ; _ ; ) maybe they hate me? Which is annoying cause when I tried to put the spare in, it was right after I got back from 'town' with a beginners guitar book and some new guitar picks!! So, for now, I have a 5 string guitar. Hmm.... So yah, I got a really cool guitar pick from the music shop today!! It's a Nightmare Before Christmas one, and its like a hologram of Sally sewing~ so its moooves!! haha, it's cool~ That music shop is cool too! you walk in, and the first thing you see if just guitars! guitars guitars guitars!! They were all so pretty~ and all so affordable!!

Sooo other than the string incident and the pretty guitars, there's not that much that's been going on recently... just, yknow, revision... (ugh!)

So that's about it for now~ so long mon amis~!

Hey hey let's go~!

[title=complete 100% random]

Not much has been happening recently... it's all exams and revision and such other gubbins.  But I think we worked it out as only about 4 weeks or so left... ugh!!

In my spare time I've started to teach myself guitar (again). I used to attempt to do so when I was younger but... no such luck. But now I'm determined to make it work~ YEAH!!

Anyhoo, so it's half term right now, meaning we all have a week of studying and nothing else... so exams... nothing. So it's probably not a good thing that Pokemon Platinum version was released in the UK today!! XD (but It was delivered yesterday!! hooray!)

It's just... scarily addictive!!  Really really fun though!! whee~

hmm... looks like it's a short entry this time round.

So I'll leave it here for this week (?) whilst I wait hungrily for my pizza...

Smiles all round~! :)

I have a maths exam on monday, but even so today has pretty really good indeed!!
First off, I started volunteering at oxfam today (as part of the DofE scheme), which, to be honset, I wasn't really looking forward to... (getting up at 7.00am on a Satruday morning? no thank you!) But, it was actually really fun!! There's a nother girl about my age-ish volunteering there, so we man the till together, and have a laugh~
Half way through the morning, an extremely religious woman came in handing around flyers about repenting... We all smiled and then either shoved them in our back pockets, or put them upside down on the note paper pile.

I've only just got round to reading it; it goes on about how God will punish thee for they sins, Ie murdering, drug use, racism, basically anything illegal really. And then it says this;

"Occult involvement such as fortune telling, witchcraft and palm readings"

I won't go into my views on the 'withcraft' side of things but... the 'fortune telling' and 'palm reading'?? Not exactly an occult with malicious intent now is it? Perhaps it's one of those things, like science, that extremely over the top religious people fear because they do not understand it, or because it challenges God?

Perhaps I have been reading 'The Da Vinci Code' too much.

But, let's be all cliche and say "all things in moderation". Actually, one of the other volunteers at the shop said "We are not punished for our sins but by our sins". Meaning that the punishment is not from some holy being, but instead from the sins themselves and their repercussions. (maybe that's hinting at karma too?).

... ANYWAY! moving on from that lovely deep topic there, after that I met up with 'A' in town and we went to Game, like you do, to look at the amazing games we can't afford, and then to look at the really seriously crap games in the sale section that, regretably are the only things we can afford. Only!! In sed section of crapiness, I found a hidden gem; Elite Beat Agents!! I knew it was a really good game, as it's good really good rating, so, intrigued I picked it up. It was pre-owned so the price was at £12 something or other. Then I noticed the huge red sticker that said "SALE""" £4.95!!!" So I took it to the till and the guy said "That's £2.98 please, is that ok?" To which I relpied "Oh yes, of course that's ok!!"

And then proceeded to skip out of the shop~!

We then had fun playing tig in an ex-graveyard/churchyard. Y'know, like ya do.

Aaaaand tonight is EUROVISION!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I be goin ter a friend's house to have a eurovision partay!! XDD Y'know, like ya do.

'Tis all fer now lahvlies. Bye~

tesco stole mah money, oops no they didnt, brat camp, bowling, trumpet, pkmn, and then some.

'Sup! It's been a long weekend it has!
Friday was our last day of year 11!! whooooooooooooooooo!!! NO MOAR SCHOOL! (ceptnowwehaveexams,butOHWELL!)
'Twas the day of Brat Camp '09! We ran around the school screaming and throwing around shaving foam, and silly string, and... oats... and of course, bras! (cause yknow, you're at an all girls school, it's your last day, what else is there to do cept throw bras around!?) Our head of 'year', Mrs 'W' held one of them up and was like "Has someone lost this?" and then, "yknow girls, daz washes whiter than white!".
XDD it was so funny!
The school then took us bowling, as a way of minimising damage to school property. But don't worry! I now have two years to plan for the end of 6th form!
Theeeeeeeeeen it was Saturday, and I met up with my friend, 'A' in town. Only... I went to an ATM but it stole my card (cause it was expired) and didnt give me my money. So then I had a mini panic cause the reciept said it took the money out... (@_@);. However, I went to the bank today to sort it out, and it turns out that the money's still there... STOOPID TESCO!! D<
SO aaaaanyhoo, I went round to A's house and he \taught' me how to play the trumpet.... It was really loud... (@_@);
ALSO! thanks to A, I now reaaaally can't wait till pokemon platinum for DS comes out in the UK! (22nd May) This is all because A brought me back a pokemon manga from his travels to the US, and it's scarily addictive! So now I can't wait till the games out! D:
Ugh... tomorrow is my first GCSE!! *nervous*. It's only RS, and thankfully, it's the 'Christian Perspectives' paper, which is a relief! (and no, I didn't choose to do RS GCSE, but at my school, it's compulsary...
I've been drawing Alien Boi Cherrie* more and more these days! He's so much fun to draw! and to colour too! So, there's more pics up on my devART page ---->>>>>
(click!!! click the liiiinkkk~!!!!) you know you wanna ;)

oh golly gee

It's all been kicking off hasn't it? With the threat of swine flu looming, I've been reading the paper more. (It's free on the bus). I swear yesterday there were only 4 confirmed cases here in the UK; till I found out today in history class that there's now 8!! Fuuuuu... It just seems to be getting worse & worse...
The first confirmed cases in the UK were on a plane from Mexico about a week ago; and since then most of the other cases were on that flight too. Yet they STILL won't track the other passengers down. *headdesk* Honestly! Anyone could work that one out!!

Well. In lighter news, Waterloo Road has been getting really good recently! I just want to give Chlo a big big hug! Hmm I caught up with Hetalia... hahaha it makes me laugh so much! XD
I can't believe it, but My last day of school is this Friday! We have Monday off because of bank holiday but after that it's only a few days!

Our form teachers are taking us out on a mystery tour too!
But then, the following Tuesday is our first GCSE!! (•_•);
Urrrrgh... Well, that's about it for now... Oh! and It's actually officially been recognised that "Gordon Brown is becoming 'increasingly unpopular'".
