Seasons Greetings!

A very Belated Merry Christmas to everyone, and Happy Holidays!

It's been... so long since my last post! I'm so sorry!! It's been the same on devART too, I haven't even uploaded a Merry Christmas picture.. D: (though tbh, that's because my computer has died a death, and I lost my usb >>). Well, I wish I could say it's because I've been busy with school work, or I've been out all the time in the snow... or even because I'm lazy. But no, in all honesty I have no idea why it's taken me this long to write this..! I swear I started trying to do so after I broke up for the holidays, but alas...

ANYWAY!!!

IT'S CHRISTMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!
(5 days ago... x'D)

Well, I broke up for the holidays on 17th, but that whole week was... madness! ("Madness?! This... Is... SPARTAAAAAAAAA" *ahem* orz.)
Monday was pretty normal actually...>> BUT HEY. THE REST WAS LOON. It's...! Tuesday (15th Dec) was the 6th form Xmas Lunch 8D.
Mon amis et moi went so loopy!!! Well, in fact, our friends group is about 5-6 of us, but really there's three of us (including yours truly) that are, in fact, wonderfully mad. :3 Anyway, I bought M a sticky reindeer thing for xmas, and the 3 of us spent the entire (extended!) lunch time throwing it on the ceiling, and racing to catch it when it fell down! x'D MOOHAHAHAHAA
And after much more of that hilarity on Wednesday, it got stuck to the ceiling. woops. It is important to note that our common room ceiling has a slopey wooden bit on the sides (where we'd been throwing sed reindeer) and a painty corrugated area on the top. It got stuck to the painty bit... 8D moohahaha
By Thursday, M et moi were determined to get it down! We snuck up into the art department, 'borrowed' some metre rulers, taped them together, and stood on a chair in the common room attempting to poke it down. However, it is also important to note that this was during a '6th form xmas breakfast' thing in the common room. With teachers. Though they didn't see us at all...>>
And then, was the most dreaded hour long awards assembly that bores you so much your eyes shrivel up inside your skull. However..!! At the end of the assembly, as with every end-of-term assembly, we had the "best-bits-of-this-term" slideshow. And, as it was xmas, there was xmas pop music playing! 8D
And then, came one of the randomest things EVER. The slideshow stopped. The music, continued. Everyone started singing along. We looked behind us to see some of our chums bouncing up in the back and dancing around whilst singing. Well, that was it! We 3 loons forced the rest of our friends up on their feet and started dancing. Soon most of the school was up, and the teachers didn't even care. I swear, our school is mad.
But anyway, we left school at 12.05 with the reindeer still stuck to the ceiling.
*
Other than that, it's been late nights and sleeping in till noon for me! :3 It snowed for ages last week and we had so much snow!! About 6 inches or so, which is a lot for our area!
Christmas Day, we had me, mum, mum's boyfriend, my uncle, his wife, their three kids (my cousins) and my grandma. It was certainly interesting!!
*
Recently, I've been having really weird sleep patterns..! Last night I didn't get to sleep until 9am this morning, and didn't wake up till 1pm... xD haha whoops!
Mostly it's because I've been staying up till 2ish watching late night films with mum! The other night we watched 'American Flyers'. It made me cry so much..! It's really really good though! It's become one of my favourite films! O: Please watch it if you have the chance!
***
Well, tis all for now~! I'll try to post more often...! O:
GLAD TIDINGS TO YOU ALL!!!

Back on Track

It's crunchy leaf time of year!
I really like this time of year~! Although I love summer, there's something about the late November-December time of year. I'm not sure if it's the warm cozy nights cuddled next to the spare radiator in my room whilst reading manga, or the crunchy leaves, or wrapping up in scarves, or the fact I've brought my double duvet down from the cupboard and put it on my (single) bed along with my single duvet, or the fact the xmas lights are being turned on, or if it's the run up to Christmas... but I really love this time of year!! <3
I know it's a bit early to be talking about xmas right now, but I'm particularly excited about it this year! The family is coming to our house this year~! Usually we either all go to grandma's, or (as with the past few years) it's been just me, mum and grandma at our house. But this year! Everyone's coming! Uncle David, Aunty Jill, my 3 cousins, grandma, possibly coconut (mum's 'partner'). I'm so excited! I know it's not that many people compared to other people's family xmas reunions, but we have a pretty small bungalow type house so it's gonna be busy~!!
*
As for school, Xmas officially starts this Saturday (28th Nov), with our xmas fair! I'm going to be helping my friend (let's call her K), with our house stall!
(In our school, there are 4 houses, St. Hilary's = blue, St. Joans = red, St. Emilie's = yellow, and St. Francis = green. Usually we're all friends, but when it comes to house competitions everyone gets super competitive! St. Hils and St Joans are bitter rivals!).
I'm a proud member of St. Hils, the blue house; I'm really excited! I've never run a stall at the fair before, and I'm exciting about doing my bit for the house~!! At xmas fair, one of the main attractions are the house stalls, each house has a stall, and we can only sell items of our house colour; eg, hils can only sell blue things. Tbh I think Joans should get a handicap... I mean, how easy is it to find red things that are xmassey?! But, well, I'm biased as they're our rivals!!
I say xmas starts on 28th Nov... but for one form it's started early!! My friend L's (yes that is her name!!) form (year 9) have already decorated their form room! Not just tinsel and paper chains, but full on twinkly lights, xmas tree, fake snow, singing rudolph...!! It looks like santa's grotto! x'D
I think K and I decided we were going to decorate the 6th form common room on Monday morning though~! There's a mini xmas tree in the walk-in-storage-room/cupboard, and there's about 2 bix boxes full of decorations in the cupboards in the kitchen!!
**
Anyway, In other news; I popped into town yesterday (as in, local small town, not big city town), and bought some really great stuff! In Waterstones they had Maximum Ride the manga vol2, and Detroit Metal City vol 1!! <3>w<
Not only that!! But when we went into Bits 'n' Pieces (cool little indie games shop in our town), we found, in a glass cabinet of oldies games.... Advance Wars 1 & 2!!! Those games are super super rare these days! Almost Impossible to find! And I bought them!! =w= Now I have the whole set~! <3>
I am SO using my awds mug at school tomorrow!!
**
Speaking of indie shops, I found a really good indie music store in town too. Well, I knew about it already (the one with the creepy Elvis statue is something you can't not know if you live in our town!), but I'd never really been in before. Anyway, they sell lots of CDs and DVDs, both old and new, at srsly low prices! From now on, I'm going to buy my music from there over iTunes! deffinately! Really friendly in there too~!!
***
Well, that's about it for now! But quickly, before I go, I'd like to say a big shout out to all of my devART watchers! I love all of you~!!

Modern art, steals your heart <3

stealing a moment to blog whilst in a free :B
Hello all.
I'm currently at school, in a free, so don't tell head of 6th! ;D shhh~!
Anyway, I just had to blog about this, otherwise I might explode!!
Yesterday, we switched topics in 'Global Perspectives' to something that is actually interesting! Art. Well, Art and the Media but hey~!
Our first 'assignment' was to work in groups of 2s or 3s and make a presentation about one of the artists on the list we were given. Including pretty much the most influencial modern artists ever. Although, to my dismay, Antony Gormley was not on the list!!! D<<
Anywho. My group and I ended up doing Damien Hirst ( <3>
Only problem is, I'm like... the only person in the class that likes modern art. Not just that I'm the only one that likes it, I'm the only one that gets it!!
It's actually... ridiuclous. I mean srsly. It's annoying, and omg I don't care who reads it, but who'da thunk that even the most 'clever' people in my class, the ones with As and A*s popping out of their ears, can be so shallow, narrowminded, selfish and stuck up.
I mean, ok, not everyone likes modern art. Fine. Not everyone can understand it, because they aren't creative, or because they aren't visual (despite what those crappy tests we do at school say!) I mean, I showed them Banksy, and they said;
"well, I guess I can almost come round to that... I suppose"
...In a really stuck up 'oh that can't possibly be art as it's not realisitic, why that man must be an idiot' manner. (whereas I was sat thinking "kol kol kol kol KOL KOL KOL KOL KOL" ...lol way too much APH in my life xD )
*
But it's one thing to not understand. It's a whole other thing to slag off artists. In fact, it's disrespectful, rude and to be quite frank, disgraceful.
Not only did they insist on slagging off such geniuses as Banksy, Hirst and Gormley, but they continued with the stuck up 'oh that can't possibly be art' attitude that makes my head spin. I'm sorry, but once you learn to indulge in a world that isn't about grades, statistics, numbers and words on a page, and actually begin to look at the world from the point of view of an artist.....
ARGH. I'm getting pretty worked up about this.
Not only did they insult my favourite artists on countless occassions, but they patronised and looked down their noses at modern art as a whole.
Modern Art. The clue is in the title.
It's ART.
It can't be boxed or labeled.
You can't say "Oh I hate modern art" when you haven't even been to an art gallery.
And besides from that, they then proceeded to insult me.
You see, one of my friends insisted on expressing just how much she 'detests' modern art by reminding me how much she detests manga art; MY art.
"y'know what 'Jam'? I hate modern art sooo much that I actually prefer manga art to it"
the both of them then proceed to laugh.
For God's sake, I don't turn round to her and say "omg I HATE your book it SUCKS so much even though I've only read a little bit".
<
They were just so degrading and patronising and I want to run away to the Tate and live there for a few days living off nothing but green tea and muffins.
*
To further explain my dismay I shall show the difference in opinion of someone ready to actually open their mind to the world, and not close it off; to someone so involved in this mundane, structured world in which we live that they just refuse point blank to even try to open their minds.
My opinion on Damien Hirst:

"His work is highly influential and pushes the boundaries further and further, helping modern art to grow and flourish into the exciting, unique and thought provoking world we now know it as. Hirst’s work tells us that it’s ok to be different, in fact it’s great to be different! Art is beauty, and Hirst, along with many other modern artists re-affirms the truth that beauty is not perfection, beauty is what you say it is. Beauty can be both reality and the surreal; and Hirst’s work fuses the two together. For example, in “The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living” Hirst takes reality and makes it surreal. His work is also awe inspiring and inspirational. Everything about his work sums up modern art, it’s fresh new, exciting, bold and daring. Let’s not forget, that one of the pioneers and masters of modern art, Pablo Picasso was pushing the boundaries himself. Most of all, his art shows imagination. In the words of Albert Einstein; “Imagination is more important than knowledge”. Hirst’s work sparks up imagination, you don’t have to always know exactly what an artist is trying to achieve or accomplish through their art, but what is most important is that it is imaginative. He challenges your own imagination and your own perceptions of beauty, helping to bring you into a new world, perhaps something you’re not completely aware of. His work is awe inspiring and enlightening. Having seen the shark, I know that his art takes you away from the boring, mundane world in which we live in, and launches you into another dimension which is both peculiar and exciting. Through imagination art can be anything you want it to be. And after all, art is beauty, beauty is imaginative and beauty is anything you want it to be, not what you are told it should be.
Art does not have to be paint on canvas.
Art opens your mind and transports you into a world more exciting, more interesting, more engaging more fun and more imaginative than this world ever could be. As artists we strive to do this, and if only a small fragment of people are transported into our world then; mission accomplished!"

...And that was the condensed version. Srsly.

Their opinion on Damien Hirst:

"It is pointless and simply disgusting, there is no imagery nor meaning in anything as far as we can see."

Their attempt to sound civilised with that 'one does not approve' attitude just made me laugh. I can't even take that seriously.

Don't get me wrong, not everyone likes Hirst, but if you have a negative opinion on something, at least try not to sound like a philistine who hasn't even tried to open their mind.
***

So, now you have seen my headache... terribly sorry I've just gone on one massive rant-a-thon, but it just had to be said. End of. If you agree/have had similar problems, please comment, either here, devART, twitter... etc.

So long for now everyone!! c:

edit: I just went on Gormley's website.

So long October, Hello November!!

White Rabbits!
And so, it's November! Where did October go? And more importantly, where did summer go!!? And... even more worryingly, why am I still being plauged by midges at night when it's autumn-going-on-winter here in Blighty!?
Well, aside from the strange bug related occurences (srsly our front door is covered in the buggers every night... it's really weird), October has been a really good month! I mean, really really good! And considering only one of the 4 and a bit weeks was a holiday, I'm kinda surprised! I used to hate October! I mean, apart from Halloween that is!!
But, looking back at my calendar as I change it over to November, it really was a fun month!! Starting with MUNCH and ending with Halloween, and of course Expo last week, it's been a month of firsts and a month of toasties.
[JAM's blog post has been momentarily interrupted as a MIDGE is buzzing around her...]
But srsly, why are the midges still here?
Anyway.
Happy Halloween to everyone for yesterday~! ;D hope everyone had fun and ate lots of candy~! Did anyone dress up?? I dressed up as an evil nurse/doctor thing and mon ami le S was a werewolf!! :D
Le SWOOOSH!! S and I had an epic glo stick fight!! xD
[left: me right: if you squint you can see S... I think]
Also, I'd like to say a massive big Happy Birthday to Cazakstann, my beloved attachment figure!!
Well, tis all for now mon amis~! I am off to watch 'Doc Martin' :B byee~!

JAM's first ever Expo!

Souuu desu ka?!
One treachourous bus journey later, after staying up till the early hours of the morning watching 'Brother's Grimm' and eating copious amounts of pizza, and getting up at 5am having slept about 3 hours or so, driving down to London, and queueing for about an hour, Tam, D-G and I, along with Tam's dad arrived at the Expo.
That's right folks! On 25th October 2009, I , JAM, went to my first ever Expo!! If I had to sum it up in one sentence it'd be this;
"Omigawd I have been missing out!!"
The whole experience is amazing!! I've always thought that when you're an manga/anime fan it's like you're in a whole other world that 'normies' just don't understand, and expo is something that just sums up everything about anime, manga, video games & sci fi; it's fun, colourful, friendly and there are lots of free hugs!!! At first it's pretty odd getting hugged by complete strangers, but after about an hour or so of running up and hugging people with free hugs signs, and asking complete strangers if you can take a photo of them, you really get used to it!
Everyone at expo is amazingly friendly! It's like, you go there and everyone treats you as a friend! Instead of getting stared at by chavvy kids in a bus station for wearing a domo hoody, I get hugged and complimented!!  Even waiting in the queue is fun!! just watching everyone in the queue walk by in all their diff. cosplays is great!
This was only a small portion of the epicly long queue.
At one point we had Ronald MacDonald behind us, and Pacman walking  past us xD it was ace!
Not to mention all the people walking past with free hugs signs! If you think one guy in the street with a free hugs sign is odd, then wait til you get to expo! there's so many it's just normal! you don't even think about it as odd at all, you're just running at them with your arms open x'D. And this happens even if you don't have a sign! We were waiting in the queue and a guy cosplaying as Haruhi came up and said "omg! DOMO!!!!" and gave me a massive hug!
A very friendly giant Kon who we glomped~! (btw that curly brown haired person in a humoungous brown hoody is me ;D)
Actually, at one point we were waiting in the queue and D-G said "I've only seen guys holding free hugs signs... I bet it's mostly guys that do it." and Tam & I were all "nawwwh! there're loads of female free hug sign carriers!" And so, a bet was proposed! D-G said that the first person to see a girl carrying a free hug sign would get £2. Moments later a girl walked by with a, believe it or not, free hugs sign! Tam and I started jumping up and down liek "THERE! RIGHT THERE!!!". In the end, both of us got £2 each. =w= There were also loads of people with signs saying something along the lines of;
"You just lost THE GAME"
You'd just be happily browsing and eating pocky, and they'd walk on by, and all of a sudden this huge mass of people would all say "auuurrgghh" in unision!
Another most wonderful thing about Expo is the cosplay. Cosplayers have got to be amoung the nicest people in the world!! They're all happy and friendly and will let everyone and anyone take their picture! All of us (that is, Tam D-G and I) agreed that it's better to come to an Expo in cosplay, and thus, I swore to myself that I will deffinately cosplay next time!!
The stores at expo are amazing too! There was a really vast range of stuff on sale, figurines, posters, self-published comics, big name manga, and loads of anime & manga merchandise!! From fans and cosplay accessories, to keychains, replica swords, and those ever-so-slightly-pervy mouse mats!
And let's not forget, of course, the yaoi stall. With an American guy behind the stall shouting out;
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET YOUR HOT FLAMING YAOI OVER HEERE!!! YAAAAAAOI!!!!"
At the top of his lungs every now and then. It was rather deafening. But pretty awesome!!
I was very very tempred to buy some Hetalia yaoi... but unfortunately, no RussiaxChina! (;^;) I thought it would've been a pretty popular pairing, but ... maybe I was too late?! Yeahhh yaoi was a biiig topic of conversation on Saturday!! Infact, all 4 of us (T's dad included) had one big discussion about yaoi and yuri on the way home!! x'D Specifically, about what to say to people at school if they ask what yaoi is. We've decided that yaoi is a chocolate flavoured drink... xD and GrimmIchi (Tam's fave pairing) is a type of evil cheese. UFUFUFUFU. I'm extremely tempted to yell out in to lunch hall "YAAAAAAAAAAOIIII" xD haha. Maybe I will, maybe I won't?
In the end, we all came home very hyper, bouncing off the walls clutching our 'tokyo toys' bags, amoung others, containing our day's finds!! In the end, I bought;
- around £17 worth of sweatdrop manga <3
- Twelth Night (as drawn by Nana Li)
- a Death Note
- Negima Figumate : Asakura
- Nendoroid Puchi : Churuya san (from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu)
- apple yoghurt pocky
- strawberry pocky
- a haruhi headband
- a 'vote Petrelli' badge
- an L necklace
- a Mikuru keychain
- a totoro fan
- an art postcard & boomark from Soya Milku
I very almost bought a costume too, but due to unfortunate circumstances that included me loosing my wallet; that didn't happen... >.<
*
The artists' alley at Expo was awesome too!! they had these big long tables with lots of paper and markers to draw with! <3>
My rush-job entry xD
And actually, as i was happily drawing away, some zombies chased after some kids!! O_O
I looked up to see this guy!! I was liek "HOLYF******WHATTHEHELL!?!?!?". Interestingly, we saw him walking home afterward xD haha I bet he got some odd looks in the street!
Whihc swiftly leads me on to a small gallery of some of the best cosplays of the day, to give y'all a break from the mass of text! x'D
Halibel from Bleach
Grimmjow x2
Near from Death Note *squeee*
So I herd u liek mudkipz?!
Tam got attacked by an alien!!
Hetalia cosplayers!!! <3>
Blair from Soul Eater
Magical Trevor = WIN!
Agent Smith & Neo - The Matrix
These guys were actually amazing. They stayed in Character all day!! They had this awesome presence that made everyone stop and watch them when they walked by!!
EXCALIBUR!!! LEGEND!!
***
All in all, I loved Expo so much <3>D
Well, this is all from me tonight, I'm signing off~! And remember folks...
Yaoi = a chocolate flavour drink.

6th Form Maturity [+munch]

"Does the honorable delegate not agree?."
[M&S Toasting to Toasties.]
From starting our own political party, to making people snort sherbert and creating a psychology mascot in the form of the Romanian Orphan Child; we'll always remeber our headmistress' wise words;
"You are responsible role models"
Only, we're not.
The amount of sugar rushes I've had since coming back to school are just un-countable. Suffice to say, although I expected 6th form to be a lot different, I didn't expect it to be this different. I actually really enjoy school these days. Not only is it a daily gathering place of 5 or so loons [ie, my friends and I], but I really love the lessons too. I mean, PHSE sucks as much as it always has, and Global Perspectives is just boredom served up on a plate, but other than that I really love my subjects.
Last post, I mentioned how my psychology teacher has realised how crazy I am! And our craziness is just escalating and escalting. We're currently learning about attachment, and C*zakstann et moi are "ATTACHMENT BUDDIES!" (with me being the attachment child, and she the attachment figure :P ).
And we also have created a psychology mascot! R.O.C. ; Romanian Orphan Child, is our new psychology mascot! <3>
I was incharge of the visuals, while C*z manned the research :B
As you can clearly see, our lil mascot Romanian Orphan Child is drawn at the bottom, holding a little Romanian flag~!!
And in our psychology room is a mobile whiteboard (as in, it's not fixed to the wall, but you can roll it around on wheels). One day I wrote "Psychology rocks!!!" (cause I'm just that cool) on it, and ever since then it's been added to on a daily basis. And, ofc, R.O.C. was added as well (just in SUPER chibi-ized form).
But today............. trauma has hit.
Mrs R came up to us in the lunch queue and the convo went something liek this;
***
Mrs R: I have some really bad news....
me &C: !?!?!?
Mrs R: The year 13s.... they rubbed everything off the whiteboard...!!!
m&C: NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Mrs R: *nods* I almost went into panic when I saw it!!
m: Don't worry Mrs R!!! We'll just do it all again! And we'll make it even better!!
Mrs R: Will you draw the Romanian Orphan Child again?!
m: Of course!! and even better!!
Mrs R: good good...! I love the Romanian Orphan Child!!
***
So, Monday's mission is to re-establish the epic-ness of the psych white-board!!
***
As previously mentioned, my friends and I are crazy loons.
In our first week in 6th form, we started our own political party; N.I.C.I! This came about when S & I were bored and decided to open the dictionary at random and point to the a word at random. The words came out in this order;
- Nosewheel
- Invasion
- Concubine
- Imperialism
And so, N.I.C.I! was born; wiht out mascot being the glorious Nosepass.
ahhh there's been so much randomness that I can't even begin to explain it all!! I think today's highlight though, was watching M being ever so cool, and ever so clever, snorting sherbert. She said;
"Everything smells like lemons!!! It's like being a walking airfreshener!!"
Please, kids, don't do this at home.
So, please sit back and enjoy a momentary lapse in text before I start talking about MUNCH.
[btw; these were all taken from my DSi, so, sorry if they're a bit bad quality at times]
mini shuriken~
The 'noisy' common rooms white board. I like to take over white boards :B Oh yah, plus a surprise appearance from Sammy's hand!! O:
chikin maaaaan
Tim
Our beloved toastie machinnne~!!
My history folder. We're learning about Russian history with Miss Mawds, and as any Hetalia fans will know, this is Ivan/Russia->  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axis_Powers_Hetalia
in my homework diary.
It is clearly stated that there should be "No grafitti" in homework diaries. Oh well.
PHSE work.

So last weekend was MUNCH. Model United Nations at Cheadle Hulme.
Friday night, I was so nervous I swear I wished so much I hadn't signed up. By half way through Saturday, I was loving it. I can't wait to do another conference!!
At first, it's completely nerve racking (<<-sp!?). You watch everyone and after you finally come up with the courage to make a point of inofrmation, you shyly raise your placard. And then, the chair scans to room, and looks at you with a friendly smile on his face and says;
"Belgium! You have been recognised"
And you think........."shit."
You stand up, a bag of jelly wrapped nerves, and, shaking, you stutter out a pretty lame question, whilst desperately trying get your flapping mouth to form fancy UN terminology as you say;
"w-would the honarable delegate n-not agree..."
But then, after you've taken that first step; after your first LAME personal policy that you completely made up on the spot, and ended with "we would like to be here" in stuttered broken english whilst trying to remain calm, and after you make your first point of info, everything is just so much easier. You get completely taken in by it all, and begin to really enjoy yourself. It's also an amazing way to meet like minded, enthusiastic, out going people.
One of the highlights of the weekend was when 'the honarable delegate from the Vatican City' got a 'bomb' found under her chair, which was so-called placed there my Croatia, who was voted our most annoying delegate xD.
***
And now, in breaking news.....
THIS
IS
SWINE FLU
!!!
The swine flu epidemic has spread to our school, with about 15 cases of swine flu in the school; including our 3 head girls. Also, the other day, 55 girls were absent on the same day. To most people, this won't seem like much, but in a school with just over 600 students, were 55 is almost the size of an entire year, for 55 girls to be off on the same day, is a bit of a big deal.
Hand sanitisers have been placed all over school, making everything taste anti-bacterial.
More over, everyone is paranoid. =A=.
I hope all this will go away soon... and I hope everyone gets well soon! <3

So long for now all~!
U R PWND FOR GENEVA.

It Never Ends DAMMIT!!

The GAME never ends.
stupid bag thing.

First off, can I say, sorry for making you all loose the game just now, but at least it won't be such a shock latorz.
Oh. My. Gawd.
It seems like almost a billion years ago since my last post! D:
Well, we are well into week 4 of le 6th form, and the craziness has ceased to stop. In fact, I reckon it's getting even crazier. Everyone is crazy. still. B)
Hmmm. well, to start with, I guess I should make some psuedonyms~ here goes:
- P.b.
- S (not to be confused with sma)
- C*zakstann
- M
- Fester
More creative names may be created... some day.
***
So, today, S and I went out into le village (a 6th form privalege) for le lunch. We bought the usual healthy lunch:
- strawberry milkshake
- monster munch
- salt and vinegar 'snack sticks'
- nintendo magazine
The nintendo mag caused much excitement, for a number of reasons. Firstly, because the freebie was a DS 'sock', which got me very exciteable at the fact of having something to prevent my DSi being scratched etc. Also, with the sock being black, it makes my DSi less noticeable when it's sticking out of my pocket. (However it doesn't prevent it from bouncing on the floor having fallen from my chair; as we discovered in psych). The magazine also made S very excited, which, being contagious, made me very excited, when we saw an ad for the DS release of Kingdom Hearts!!
But then...
Much tragedy and uproar was cause when THIS slid out of the glossy pages of gaming insight;
(pictured: an evil bag of doom and some bottles of J20 reduced to 25p each).
[Please excuse my duvet in this picture.]
It was one of those "I-can't-BELIEVE-I've-been-caught-out-you're-such-a-smo, yet also omg-that's-just-classic!! lawl" moments. (Much like when A and I got Rick-Roll'd IRL at a quiz night, then coincidentally lost the game).

Psychology was hilarious today as well xD 'Mrs R' finally cottoned on to the fact that I'm slightly odd~...! :3 And a queue formed to sit on Mrs R's magic chair thing. xD
*
Also, My History teacher, 'Mrs N'* is amazing!! she has us every monday, last period, and the 3.30** bell is officially our 'sweetie bell', so that we can get sugar-rushes before going home. Yesterday I actually got a proper sugar rush. I was trying to say something and it went a little like this;
JAM: "OH OH OH!"
Mrs N "yes [JAM]?"
J: "Is it cause... cause they didn't put thingymabobs on stuffs coming in from the Comumbadub??!"
N: "...........what."
J: "I mean... the.... the yknow!! the comammm.....!! ...uhm...."
N: "..."
J: "THE COMMANWEALTH!!! They didn't put tariffs on imports from the commanwealth!"
N: "..not quite"
J: "....the Empire?"
N: "YEAHHHH!!!"
orz. Just goes to show how crazy my teachers are.
(and yeah, I am aware I am incapable of spelling commanwealth... or is it commenwealth? iunno. I probably should. hm. oh well.)

Attention! : JAM is now a 6th former! :D

So without further ado, I start my 6th form life with hopes and aspirations as big as the 5kg chocolate bar.
I love 6th form!!
It's so much fun! Loads of people from our year have left to go off to other schools, but everyone that's left is really nice to one another! Not to mention the teachers are really nice to 6th formers too~!
And, on top of it all, the lessons are interesting
I'm so glad I chose to drop Physics!! I now have beaucoup de frees, which I can use to do homework, study, and, if all else is done and dusted, play me some pokemon!! 8D
*
So, we all survived our first week of 6th form! So much craziness has happened it'd take ages to type up!! xD.
Our school is right next to a garage (avec shop), and a Somerfields. Therefore, at lunch we tend to go out and buy drinks and snacks. Upside is, omg! so yummy! Downside is however, we're all probably gonna be fat by the time we leave 6th form! 8D
Particularly as one girl brought in a 5kg bar of Cadbury's on Friday. Yes that's right. 5kg of chocolate.
The only way to break it up was to smash it on the coffee table in the "noisy" common room. There was chocolate. Everywhere.
Each chunk was about the size of your palm!! Everyone in 6th form was walking round nibbling on coal-sized chunks of chocolate! 8D omnomnom!
*
Also, as I have quite a lot of frees, I find myself talking to people I wouldn't normally have talked to last year, which is really nice!! Also, there are 3 new girls, rather than 1! 8D One of them, who we shall call... hrrm "A-n-y" (basing this off her msn name xD ), is very very nice (and gives amazing hugs!), and the two of us got talking after I saw The GazettE on her iPod! :3
Turns out, she's also an anime fan and we share many interests!! <3
All in all, 6th form really is great so far!! It's sooooo much better than high school, and deffinately better than GCSE years! I can't even stress enough how much better it is! I mean, it's so great to come home light and happy in the knowledge that you've done a good days work, and everything's great, rather than the depressing-ness of last year!!
***
After a week of 6th form, it's now the weekend! (or the end of it, at least!).
I haven't really done much at all this weekend! ><
But~ on Friday, me, mum, the coconut (mum's bf) and I went to blockbuster, and as I walked in, one of the pre-owned DVDs for sale caught my eye! It was;
"Paprika".
I recognised it from an old old front cover of NEO (way before I started reading neo mag).
And... omg. It is. AMAZING.
Just... simply amazing. After the first minute or so, I was thinking "I already love this film."
The story is amazing, the music is lovely, and don't even get me started on the animation!!! It's stunning, beautiful and over all GORGEOUS!!
Satoshi Kon (the Director) is now officially one of my idols, and I'm hoping to buy another of his films, "Tokyo Godfathers" later on in winter!
I just love it sooo much~!!
Also, I am now watching Sleepy Hollow, as it's on Film4!! (though technically, I'm watching it on my computer rather than my 'tv', because my 'tv' is being a complete poo head.). I really love this film so much <3.>
So without further ado, here's a quick list of some of my utmost favourite films ever.;
[in no particular order]
Paprika,
Spirited Away,
Anastasia,
Death Note & Death Note 2,
Brothers Grimm,
Sleepy Hollow,
Nightmare Before Christmas,
The Corpse Bride,
Edward Scissor Hands,
The Prestige.
You've probably realised that they're all either animations, Tim Burton movies, or something to do with the supernatural or illusion. :3
Also, (as I'm feeling totally fresh and inspired right now) here are my idols:
- Hayao Miyazaki
- Satoshi Kon
- Takeshi Obata
- Nana Li
- Tim Burton
<3>

'Tis all for now, tomorrow I have to go up on stage (><);; at our prize day!! (Everyone now in lower 6th has to go up, in congratulations for our GCSEs). Wish me luck~~!
Bye for now~

MUCC = EPIC WIN!

"CatholicTV is now following you on Twitter"
Rest of life coming in: about 3 hours.
Ok what?
I log on today and a little email from twitter pops up. "CatholicTV is now following you on Twitter".
What? I know loads of random companies and stuff randomly follow people for no real reason. But... CatholicTV? I'm not Catholic! I'm not even Christian!!
***
Anyway. More importantly!
Last night, as I said, I downloaded the album 'Shion' by MUCC. It took an hour y'know! A whole hour!! Anyway, even though I was planning on going to bed at 11, I ended up just... not. I was waiting for Shion to download so in the end I blogged and watched family guy. Among others.
But that album... is epic! I mean it really really is!!  I downloaded it not really knowing what to expect... tbh I was just in the mood for heavy guitar 8D. But... after I heard the first song I immediately fell in love with them!! I've listened to the whole album god knows how many times now!! Sooo good!
Eventually, I ended up going to sleep listening to it on shuffle-repeat~
It was the best sleep I've had in months!! I mean it! <3
It's great to go to sleep listening to music, then wake up to it <3
***
So, for now, I shall leave you! Off to 6th form......!!
Byee~~

MUCC <3 + 6th form Induction Tomorrow!!

Just a quickie [that turned into an average sized post] as I wait for 'Shion' by MUCC to download from iTunes (why does it take so long!?)
Days till the rest of my life: just under 1.
'Sup!! 8D
I overslept again today!! I even slept through my alarm! The only thing that woke me up was mum phoning me at about 11.40 ish. I was so dis-orientated that I completely forgot she was out networking since 6! o:
Though tbh, I'm not surprised my sleep is finally starting to catch up with me!! The past few nights have gone as follows:
- 9.00pm till either 1.00am, 2.00 am or 3.00am : work on manga
(whilst watching whatever late night comedy seems to be on tv)
- after stopping manga work; 'go to bed' and spend about 2 hours or so on DSi.
- eventually;  drop off to sleep.
Usually I tend to stop working at around 1.00-2.00am ish, because after 1.00 there is NOTHING on tv. Occassionally, you'll get a good film that finishes any where between 1 & 2, but any good programmes stop by 1.30.
However, having said that, on Monday night through to early Tuesday morning, there was a marathon of the entire first series of 'How Not to Live your Life' running on BBC, which went on till about 3.30ish.
That was pretty damn epic. I love that show. I mean the main character acts like a complete d*ck, but he's the sort that only acts like that, deep down he's quite loveable.
My fave episode is when he went camping with his crush and her class of kids (she's a teacher). And they got lost, and he ended up getting all the kids drunk!! xD classic!
But unfortunately, I don't think it's avialable in the US or anything...
srsly you guys are missing out!
[I really really love British comedy!]
***
So! Tomorrow, I start 6th form!!
Well, sorta, tomorrow's induction day, so officially we start on Monday, but hey.
I'm actually pretty excited about it now~. My inner self has finally given in to, and accepted that the holidays have drawn to a close.
But! That doesn't mean I can't still have fun~! Although I'm going to be working super hard these next two years; if I can get coursework etc out of the way asap, that'll give me more time to relax on the weekends!
(I just hope everyone else does the same!! Then we can relax together!!)
***
Recently I've been thinking more about my future.
Mum and I were talking about University and such likes, and we were talking about what degrees I could consider.
Mum said she always thought I'd do something academic, like History, or English or something like that. So she was kinda surprised when I told her that other than unless I did histoy I wasn;t planning on doing something 'academic'.
I decided a long time ago, that I'd probably either do History, or something artistic.
Right now, I'm down to two main contender for the title of "JAM's degree choice". These are;
Political History
or
Animation
I guess they're really quite different! haha!
Political History is something that really fascinates mebut animation is something I'm considering a career in.
Hayao Miyazaki really inspires me (*v*) I'd love to be like him!! <3
***
On to...
Artistic News~
Artistically, I'm really powering through! Last night I managed to ink all 35 pages, and then edit them with white ink (which smells SO good!).
Now all that's left is to screentone it, and add the finishing touches! <3
And, what with Expo coming up (need to buy costume!!), and Halloween coming up (need to complete costume!), and also that I just spent £13 on music, also I have a few friend's birthdays coming up... ahaha
But I'll screentone all I can with what I've got for now, and at least then I can work on the Xanthie manga whilst I'm waiting for more screentones <3
***
So, this is all for now!!
Bye for now~~!!

1st September

Sprite flavoured lip balm = neccessity.
Days till the-rest-of-my-life : 3
It's the 1st of September!! Oh my lordy I'm gonna be a 6th former in ...*counts* under 3 days!! Sweet Chocolate Moo Cow! My current state of mind on this subject is a curly wurly of excitement, nerves and a slight tinge of "d'awww... summer's over already??".
But today I'm now kitted out and ready to go go GO!! (I left it till 1st September to buy supplies 8D )
***
So today, I shall start off with delving into the more fun side of results day, and the following days. After the lovely results, we all mosied down to H's house for an after-bbq!! 8D
'Twas muchly fun! There was pink champagne, a most smexy evil board game master (we played atmosfear), 17 again, and some very suggestive sitting on couch-ness.
LAWL.
On Friday I went round to A's and watched Pokemon the movie:2000 (having had watched the 1st earlier on in the week), after we got extremely wet; or at least I did, by jumping in a massive bloody puddle. (*mature*)
Saturday we went to Buxton 8D!! And then went back to As house to watch "Pokemon the movie 3"!! (only the 4th one left now xD ).
After that we went to Samsi (Japanese restaurant) for le dinner~ miam miam!
***
Then.... yesterday happened.
Grandma phoned, and basically said that I probably won't be able to get into University with my GCSE results.
She also said many many other things... But that kinda depressed me for the majority of the day, until my friend who lives in Anglesey's mum called and said that [friend who lives in anglesey] got basically the same grades as me, and that we both worked really hard for them, and they're really good grades, and of course we can get into uni!!
Mum's bf coming round with tiramisu also helped MUCHLY!
***
So, in the end, now yesterday's over, I'm putting it all behind me and vowing to study like an astronaut in astronaut school studying for an astronaut scholarship to do a PhD in astro physics!!
....yeah I have no idea what that means either.
Basically, I'm gonna study A LOT.
We've decided now that the plan of action is this:
- Drop Physics, just stick with the 3 subjects all the way through (English lit, Modern History and Psychology)
- stick with 'World Perspectives', but don't stress over it.
***
So!! Today is today! And thus, this leads me on to two very important topics.
1) My new obsession
2) Future plans
*
1) My New Obsession
My new obsession is.... (*drumroll*) ........CHAPSTICK! [and various variations of yummy flavoured lip balm stuffs].
The weather over here has been changing very quickly from sunny to very rainy, and as a result of that, my lips have been getting very sore and chapped quicker than they usually do.
So, over tha past few weeks I've been all "omg I NEEEEED chapstick before my lips drop off!!!"
And today.... I gotz me some Sprite flavoured 'lip smackers' lip balmy stuff! <3
It smells..... SOOO good!! It's really light and refreshing and makes me think of summery sunny goodness, even when it's chucking it down outside! <3
Not to mention it's liek... really really soft and soothing, which is like heaven for someone like me who gets sore lips easily in cold weather.
When I bought it they had multi packs with aaaaall the different flavours!! Sprite, various flavours of fanta, coke, coke vanilla, coke cherry, etc. etc.
But I didn't have enough cash on me at the time ;_;
*
2) Future Plans
This isn't a "I want to settle down at the age of 'XX' and have 'X' kids and blah blah blah" This is just a simple "When I'm older and have a family of my own, I am going to get a cat as the family pet."
I luuuurve cats soo much~ I'll say now that I am deffinately a cat person.
But I don't want any normal cat. Ohhhh no!! I want a black cat with bright green eyes, and I'mma gonna call him BORIS!!! <3
I'm not joking. I really want a witches-cat-style black kitty cat called Boris.
It's just epic. end of.
***
So, all in all, things are deffinately starting to look up after the hiccup of yesterday!! <3
I've got all 39 pages of my M.I.C.C. entry planned & storyboarded, and up to page 23 in rough pencils~
I'm ready to go get 'em and be the best student EVER in 6th form, and I have my trusty Sprite flavoured lip balm at my side!
I'm good to go~!!
Byee for now everyone!!

The Pocket Mystery is Solved!

I will be the 6th former munching Oreos whilst everyone else enjoys "World Perspectives".
The pocket mystery has been solved!! Although the trouser pockets are fake, the jacket pockets are, in fact, pockets. Only, they were sewn up. Apparently this is to keep the jacket's shape whilst it's in the store. (They could write that on the tag or something |x )
***
Also, another occurence of confusion has arrived! Apparently; we don't do general studies next year, ohh no. We study 'World Perspectives'. Just as useless, just as boring; basically the same subject, just with a different name.
I still refuse to take it >)
***
In other news.
We have been notified that there is going to be one new girl joining us next year. Just one.
Wayy over 30 of us have left, and only one is joining. We are going to be one small year group!
Embarassing for the new girl, but even more embarassing for the school.
***
More news!
Titanic is on channel five! 2 and 1/2 hours in and the panic is only just about to set in!!
Such a traumatic movie... Last time I watched it, I was in tears for hours and hours!!
I must say though, I really love the String group!! <3
***
Anyway, I shall leave you all for now~ bye byeeee
========
**EDIT**
========
Say hi to my friend Sodium('s hat) !!

School...! crap!

The fugly see-through shirt mum got me for 6th form serves for one purpose and one purpose only.
Cosplay.
School. That ...most wonderful of places is looming ever closer, and my days of manga making, watching pokemon movies and doing nothing particularly important, yet extremely fun with the best people in the world are slowly drawing to a close.
Shit.
Where the hell did summer go!?
I remember... prom, karaoke, camping, the cruise, seeing the hangover, seeing orphan, and then a sort of mish-mash of hide and seek, trampoline, orange-milk and mario kart. Oh, and Alton Towers and pokemon movies.
But why did it go so quickly!? whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!
Thinking about it, I wouldn't change anything about this summer. It's been the best summer ever...!!
...Until Thursday.
As many of you may know, Thursday 27th August 2009 was GCSE results day.
My results... we fine. Ok. good... really good, perhaps. But I'm pretty dissapointed.
I keep getting calls from my relatives saying;
"well done!!! you got AMAZING results!"
I'm not meaning to sound hard done by, I accept they were pretty good, but they weren't amazing. Straight As is amazing.
I got 6 Bs, 2As, 2 Cs... and then latin.
Lingua Latina.
D.
Ouch.
I love latin. I've been more or less a straight A student in latin for almost 4 years. And I get a D in the exam.
How?!! How could this happen? We all (all 3 of us that is), compared our answers and translations after the exam and we all did pretty much the same. All 3 of us were predicted As, if not A*s, but all of us fell short of what we expected...
The staff suspect that there's been a dud marker around, and are sending them off to be remarked. ... Though thinking about it, I was only about 6 UMS points off a C (which is nothing). And my friend who wwas expected to get an A*, got a B... so there's something pretty fishy going on.
But, because of this mark I've had to drop latin, a subject I really love. And if it turns out the marker got it completely wrong, and I end up with something like a B, or even an A, I will turn post box red and have steam coming out my ears. (If this happens, stand by for a rant).
To make things even worse, Latin was the first mark I saw. So, I opened my results envelope, saw "Latin     D(d)", and my whole world came crashing down around me.
*
Futhermore, straying away from the epic dissapointment [<<-understatement] of latin; in general, for someone who, all their life has been predicted As and A*s, a whole load of Bs is not so great... and really is not "amazing".
However, we realised what's gone wrong, and that is, I've spread myself too thin. All my friends at other schools have studied 9 subjects; getting 9 GCSEs.
We, studied 11.
11 friggin' subjects, so 9, and then, two mandatory headaches that go by the names of 'RS' and 'ICT'.
ICT took up every ounce of energy I had left last year. Every lunch time, after school and weekend wwas filled with friggin ICT coursework.
I CAN WORK A COMPUTER DAMNIT!!!
To say RS was a mandatory headache would be correct, but as for ICT... it's more like a mandatory MIGRAINE.
I spent hours and hours on something uselss; time which could've been spent on more important subjects.
At the risk of sounding childish, I can honestly say I blame ICT.
I've never felt this before, but I honestly, deep in my heart of hearts, wish I could go back and change my options for double science rather than triple, and fight not to do ICT; then, if all else fails, botch ICT in year 10 and drop it by year 11.
**
This is all proof of our beloved school's 'guinea-pig year', as I like to call it.
First, a little history;
My school was originally two schools, a catholic school and a protestant school; until in '99-'00, our head merged the two schools, making the 'ecumenical school community' we are now.
Most of the students that had been at the original schools, had to be allowed into the new school. But our year, which was about year 1 or year 2 at the time of the merger, was the first year where entry into the senior (high) school was not obliged, meaning even if you went to one of the original schools, you're not guarenteed a place.
Therefore, being the first yeear our school has 'hand-picked', we have beared the brunt of any new schemes or trials our school can think of.
Admittedly, there have been a few schemes (the whole mandatory migraine, etc) that have been going for longer than us, but they wait until we go through hell and back, and, of course, change it to make it fairer on the rest of the school.
Take sma, for example, two years younger than me and going into year 10 this September.
Started Mandatory Migraine in year 9, meaning by the time year 11 comes around for her, she won't have the migraine chasing after her, and will have time to focus on more important things.
Can you see now, why I want to throttle my school sometimes?
So, School, if you're reading, thanks for screwing me up! ^^
*
Also, our school is known for forcing it's students to do seemingly useless subjects (like headache & migraine) for no good reason other than to make the school look good.
The next of these ridiculouses, is General Studies.
Every 6th former I've talked to says that G.S. is a massive pain in the side, and is pointless.
Not to mention I was talking to 'K', whilst waiting for the bus one day (she's in the year ahead of me), and she was saying that she was up till 1am every night on the weekend, writing a massive long essay for G.S. and only after she got that out of the way, could she concentrate on her English essay.
I'm sorry but, I don't want an extra A level in some pointless subject that will zap up all of my time.
**
Thus, Friday, (aka induction day) is going to be the start of a very long and wearysome rest-of-my-life.
***
On a lighter note;
My 6th form jacket has no pockets. Meaning, it looks like it does, but they're just odd flap things that serve no purpose at all other than to fool you into thinking you have somewhere to put things; phone, DS, spare pens... but NO! 'Cause you don't!
Why?? I've noticed this more and more, women's suit jackets do not have pockets!! I mean, do clothes makers think women carry handbags around everywhere, thus not needing pockets? Is this some form of masculine dominancy thing, where only men are allowed to store things in items of clothing? Are women doomed to forever carry around a bulky bag?
My trousers have no pockets either. I mean... what the hell!? I mean, are we doomed to forever roam around school with no hope or storing anything anywhere but our lockers?! (Our school is tres small, so we can't carry bags around).
I mean what happens when....... *shudder* I dread to think.
So, a message to all designers of women's business wear;
"Women need jacket pockets too! You jack-asses!!"
I'm actually starting to worry now.... I need pockets to put things in!! You know, chapstick, phones. Pencil cases can't hold every thing you know!! D<<
mumblemumblemumble....
***
ANYWAY. When I've calmed down from rant-mode I shall share the hilarity that ensued at our 'after-bbq', and many more.
So long~

Current artistic situation :B

Hoorah for manga! <3
Ok~ as you may or may not know, I have been working on a manga about a girl called "Xanthie".
However.
That particular prject has been put on hold for now; as I am currently working on my entry for 'M.I.C.C.' (aka Morning International Comic Competition)
http://e-morning.jp/mimc/
So right now, I'm trying to focus all my creative energy on to this competition~ meaning Xanthie's manga will be put on hold for the time being.
The deadline for M.I.C.C. is 31st December 2009, but what with 6th form coming up, I can't really estimate how long it'll take me.
The page limit is 12-50 pages, and I think I'm aiming for something around the 40 mark (ish). Right now I have 14 pages pencilled and 10 inked.
So wish me luck!! ^^

English Woes

Aahh memories of pretending to be a submarine when I went swimming with sma are just flooding back to me...
"AAAGHH!!! SAVE MEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
OH MY GOLLY IM BEING EATEN BY BOREDOM AGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!"
That, ladies and gentlespoons, was the sound of my inner monologue after reading the first few pages of a selection of, frankly, horrible books I'm meant to be studying next year.
Yes. For some reason, which, to this day I don't know why, I chose to study English Lit next year in 6th form.
Only, last year I hated English. I mean really really strongly. The time between autumn half term and xmas holidays particularly was like hell on Earth. I vaguely remember doing some mocks, but mostly the only thing I remember from that time was English.
My teacher was pressuring me and pressuring me and kept giving us really short deadlines, and wayyy too many practice essays.
To put it into perspective, around that time I....
- had just got back from a very busy school trip to America, and thus was jet lagged
- was desperately trying to study for the mocks, which were brought forward to before xmas just to fit in with a school inspection (gee thanks school)
- was doing all these A level standard essays and papers to try and get into a boarding school
- was travelling up and down the country for interviews/open days to try and get into sed boarding school
- Was typically been given at least one if not two practice essays a week from English
- was being hounded by both my ICT and English teachers.
And, to top it off, most of my friends were being complete shit toward me about the boarding school (which, in the end I didn't get in to anyway).
And, yes I am aware that some may be reading this, but to be honest, it needs to be said.
There was only a handful of people out of my, hmm about 10-12 friends or so that were actually supportive. (Though in all fairness to 'Li', we weren't so close at the time, so I'm not counting you in this... you were fine.)
And the only people who were actually supportive (out of everyone) were;
A, sma, 'E.J.' and my mum. Please to bare in mind that sma is 2 years below me, so I don't see her during school hours much, 'E.J.' isn't really in my '"close" friends group, and A doesn't even go to my school.
Sooooo, all in all that was a pretty shit time (at one point I was so tired I fell asleep in English... thank god my teacher didn't realise!). And I think I went into school in tears one day... hmm probably I remember a lot of crying... |:
*
And even after I managed to scrape by that horrible horrible horrible time with ridiculously poor results (I got a U in physics, a subject I usually average around a B+, As or A*s), English was still so bad that I had to re-do almost all of my coursework. Even so, mum abnd I really had to fight to let my English teacher allow me to do so.
So in the end, it's going to be very interesting this coming Thursday, results day, to see what my outcome was in English.
*
Other than the pressure factor, we also had really really bad books to read!
We had to read 'Turn of the Screw'. A book which, in my opinion, was written so boringly and was so dull I just stopped reading after the first few pages. The plot was, in actual fact, a very good and thought provoking idea. But, it was written dreadfully.
Our essay title for this monstrocity was
"Henry James successfully conveys fear and suspense in 'The Turn of the Screw'. Explain how."
Which just left me staring at a blank page thinking "It wasn't scary, and it didn't convey either of these things successfully at all, in fact quite the opposite damn it."
In the end, after I finally re-did the coursework, I made it up. The whole essay, I blundered my way through making up stuff just to please my teacher and fulfill the assignment.
Thankfully, I managed to get an A (I think), but it could've easily gone the other way.
*
To make matters worse, we don't use the English Lit A level at our school anymore; instead we use the Cambridge Pre U. This means, that I can either spend a whole 2 years stuck putting all my time and effort into something I really hate, or drop it and not get any qualifications whatsoever.
*
So, such is my dilemma. We're going to talk to the school and hopefully I can swap English for Psychology.
So in the mean time, I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed an hope I don't have to do English...
That's all for now, bye~ My next post will be happier, I promise! ^^

PS:
Whilst I'm on the subject, I'd just like to say a big big big big big BIG massive humoungous thankyou to sma & A for supporting me through that whole boarding school thing! If it weren't for you two, I think I would've had a mini break down or something, so thank youuuuu!!!

Massive spider epidemic!?

Welcome to 'Lazy Lunch', consisting of cooked bread rolls, and bovril.
Oh, and btw, what ever happened to Diagnosis Murder?!?! D:
So, here's the story.
Last night, I was playing Advance Wars days of ruin on my DS. But as the light from the DS was the only light in the room, I kept getting attacked by small flying type things. So, in order for them to leave me a lone, even just a little bit, I switched my bed side light on.
...Only to find a great big massive spider on my wall!!
I mean, spiders don't usually scare me but, this was massive! It mustv'e been at least an inch and a half, if not more!!
So, after spending ages fumbling around trying to catch it in a cup (after it fell on my pillow whilst I was in bed); I eventually managed to catch it with ye olde cup and paper technique, and shoo it outside.
However...
Reading Kezzi's blog this morning (http://kezzikawaii.wordpress.com/) I find that she also was attacked by a large spider!
And! Talking to Sma, I found out that she was also also attacked by a large spider!!
Weird or what??

In other news;
On Wednesday I went to ALTON TOWERS!!
At first, it was a really overcast day... but then it got reeaaallly hot! Not to mention there were loads of crowds!!
So there was epic queues that lasted for hours and hours ...!
In the end, we didn't go on that many rides, just based on the sheer amount of queueing which took up most of our time Dx
But we did manage to go on;
Oblivion
Enterprise
Rapids
Air
those swingy things in the kiddie part 8D
And I think possibly something else but... I forget D8... Oh yeah, and we wandered into the other kiddie section (where squirrel nutty is) and found this uber creepy barn thing..!
The idea was that there were these mechanical animal that start singing when you press the button, but we just saw "BIG RED BUTTON" and pressed it...
then these creepy animals started singing and it was really seriously creepy!! Dx
*
After Alton Towers, I went back to 'A's house for some more hide and seek, stepping on slugs and being fed strange things...
Again, I failed at hide and seek. I ended up hiding under the computer desk thing in the playroom type room... and, intrigued by the strange music I could hear, started quizzing A's brother asd to what he was doing.
As oer usual, I was found very easily. Probably cause I was talking xD
Ah! However~ I did freak A's brother...
I was hiding in a closet, and it was a very tight squeeze, so I'm kinda surprised no one heard the rattling...
When I was discovered I sort of defeatedly started saying "aww damn.. you found me..!!" but then A's brother jumped back in fear xD AHAHAHAAA >D
Later we decided to go on the trampoline in the dark, and despite constant warnings of slugs, I ended up stepping on a massive one... It squelched under my toes!! blech!!
And then I ended up doing it again and again..... D'':
*
A little later, A asked me if I was thirsty, and whether or not I wanted orange juice or milk.
I said I really didn't mind, so I'll have which ever...
He came back with a simply lovely drink! (please remember it was dark) At first it looked like milk...
...until I drank it, and it tasted like orange...
...And then in horror I realised it was a mixture of orange and milk!! BLECCCHHH!!! Disgusting!
So I shoved it back to him and demanded he drank the rest of it D<
And... he did!! I honestly didn't expect him to! (hope he wasn't ill D: )

In other news, Although I have recently been working on my manga regarding Xanthie; Due to the Manga Jiman and M.I.C.C. competition deadlines coming up, I'm working on those now, thus pausing Xanthie ness... but don't worry! After I've done my entry for M.I.C.C., I'll get back to work on Xantheh!

'Tis all for now, bye~!

Bondage Monkey shall live on in our hearts~!!

Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelled like elderberries!
I had the most randomest day yesterday xD.
We went to the park, like ya do, but A had found an old xmas present that was meant for Scarfy... so we ended up opening it yesterday... and it was this weird monkey thing... with stretchy arms that made a monkey noise if it hit something...
The idea is that you shot it into the sky and it made a monkey noise... so, basically, it was a flying monkey, with a cape and mask. But we called it 'Bondage Monkey' (aka B Monkey, aka B-mon).
Poor lil B-mon was abused so much yesterday... he ended up breaking!! Dx
In the end, what originally sounded like a monkey noise actually sounded like b-mon was crying!! D8.
So we did the usual; eat in the church yard thing, and go to the park. Oh, and we had these nasty chocolates (again from A's random xmas leftovers) that's BBE date was in Feb 09...
Mine tasted like... well, the only way I can put it is, it tasted like freeze dried astronaut ice cream that's been sitting around in the open air for a month or so.
(... yeah I eat weird things ok?)
Scarfy said his tasted like hairspray...! (o_o)
Aah~ But yesterday, I felt like such a kid again!! Take breakfast for example; I didn't eat at home, so I bought breakfast from the post office/shop to eat whilst I was waiting for my bus. I had;
- a mini milk (milk flavour)
- a liqourice straw with the sherbert stuff in it
- tizer
I swear those just reverted me right back to the age of about 5!! 8D
And then, when we were at the park, we went to this 'castle' 'ruin' type thing... (it's really small... I can't really explain it)
Anyhoo, so I sat on one of the turrets, and was all "I AM THE QUEEN!!!"; then S*cra joined me and I proclaimed "YOU CAN BE THE QUEEN TOO!!"
And the two of us shouted "WE ARE THE LESBIAN QUEENS OF THE LESBAIN CASTLE!!".
Then, as scarfy climbed on the other castle he was all "I SHALL BE TEH KING!"
But we just agreed that he was also a lesbian queen. A, however was merely a lesbian peasant 8D.
And, as I was storming scarfy's castle; I slipped, and grazed my knee!! Haha I felt just like a kid again! It was so much fun!!
But... then I realised that my knee was bleeding and covered in mud and grit and God knows what else; so I ventured off to the kiosk thing that sells ice cream, to get some antiseptic wipes of sorts.
This is roughly how the conversation went;
Kiosk man: Hello again~ what can I get you love?
JAM: hi~ uhmm you wouldn't happen to have any antiseptic wipes would you?
k.m.: oh, no sorry, for health and safety reasons we can't give any of that stuff out.
J: ohhh ok...
k.m.: why? what's happened?
J: oh! [big grin] I fell over and grazed my knee!!
k.m.: ... how old are you!?
J: eheh ^^; well, could I have a wet tissue at least? just to clear it up?
k.m.: uhhh... wet tissue... ok sure
Then as I walked away I suddenly realised; "for health and safety reasons..." They couldn't give me an antiseptic wipe for health and safety reasons.
So, lemme get this straight; by law, I can't get an antiseptic wipe to clear up scratches and grazes, just incase I hurt my self with it?!
I mean, I understand not being able to give out medicines but... an anti-septic wipe?! whaddya gonna do? Get high off it?! xD haha so basically, just to make sure I don't get myself high off anti-septic wipes, I've gotta leave cuts and grazes with loads of mud and other lovely things in it??
...weird.
***
But, other than storming each other's lesbian castles, not being allowed to get high off wipes and killing a (to be honest) pretty creepy bondage monkey, we also got up to many other not-so-mature shannanigans at le park.
Liiiike, spinning round on the kiddies round-a-bout so fast till we all felt really sick, got bad headaches and couldn't wwalk straight; whilst some kids just watched and stared at us.
Oh yeah, and dancing the hare hare yukai to verrrry quiet music whilst (the same) kids stared at us!! 8D
Oh, and shouting "I'll go on top!!" as we all fought over the zip wire xD ahahahhaa ahh well, yesterday was certainly very odd and crazy xD. But deffinately fun and worthwhile~!
**
Well, I shall leave you for now~ But tomorrow, I'm going to ALTON TOWERS!!! 8D Whoo hoooo~!!

Something as been annoying me for a while. The voice of the gummi bear in "The Natural Confectionary Company" advert.
And I suddenly realised who is it/who it sounds like!!!
THE CRAZY PERVY 2ND BOSS IN THE IT CROWD!! >D
Well, that's about all for now... just thought I'd share! 8D
