OH. MY.

tent... walking... field... sleeping bag... cold, very cold... walking... backpack... heavy... WALKING! D:
O~su~! Hallo hallo everyone~ I'm back! Yesterday we started our practise expedition for our DoE - Duke of Edinburugh. It was hard... but it was also fun ^^ we're only doing bronze but... oooof! this is the first time I've walked (hiked) with a big backpack on... *shudder* oohhhh... just thinking about it makes my back ache... phewf~ Yeees.... last night was cold... so cold... ok, some tips for anyone doing DoE;

- make sure your sleeping bag is in check, no holes, no zip problems
- Always have a thick jumper! (even if it means tying it round your waist whilst you're walking)
- pack light! REAL light! remember youll end up with some part of the tent, or the stove, so youll need lots of room
- invest in a really good all seasons sleeping bag - my friend had one that was vacuum packed, so it sucked all the air out!! this'll give you LOADS of room spare in your backpack
- an inflatable pillow - both my tent buddies had them... *envyyyyyyyyyyyyy*
- water - you need lots of water. you can either take one big bottle, or two normal sized rinking water bottles. I did the later, which was good as I wasnt carrying a giant bottle in my hand all the time but it took up a little more space. Drink water constantly. Carry one of your water bottles in your hand, so you can get to it easily.
- Don't drink just when you're thirsty - drink all the time, because you actually get alot thristier than you realise.
- don't be afraid to ask to stop, take breaks regularly, and as soon as you start to get really achy or need to rest, do so; it's not a race - it's better to get there last and happy and well, than first and in pain!!

That's about it on my DoE tip list!! I'll prob write more when my mind isnt goo... hehe.
Just before I go, I'd just like to say; "Lux Pain 'lux awesome'!!" LOLZ
srsly though, it looks amazing!! [http://www.luxpain.com]
Bye for now all~
